- Description
-
The third stage of the Familienroute goes from Altstätten to Arbon. The route leads first along the Rhine, then along Lake Constance and is also suitable for kids on bikes, even if they are beginners. If you run out of steam, there are regular bus stops and train stations along the route. The doors to the Thurbo trains are all at ground level, making it easy to roll bike trailers on and off the train.
The signposted cycle route has something for everyone: whether your kids want to romp in the water, run around a playground or just want to explore. Along the Familienroute, there are many swimming spots, playgrounds, farms with children’s activities and other attractions to make this excursion an unforgettable experience for the whole family. Family-friendly restaurants near the route can satisfy a light craving or even an enormous appetite. Or enjoy a special outdoor intermezzo with a picnic at one of the many outdoor barbecue areas.
