The Hoher Hirschberg circuit starts in Gais, from where you dive straight into the unique landscape of Appenzell. The first ascent takes you up to Hoher Hirschberg. Enjoy the magnificent scenery from the highest point of the circular route or take the opportunity to have a bite to eat at the mountain inn. You then ride through Eggerstanden before soon reaching Appenzell. Take a moment to admire this charming village with all its culture, traditions and culinary delights. Leaving Appenzell again, you then pass the Lehnkappel chapel on the next longer ascent. A short descent back to Gais completes the Hoher Hirschberg circuit.
