Invitation to leisure
Gruissan and Leucate resorts are famous for their sliding sports potential. They are held in high reputation thanks to their beautiful beaches and natural surroundings.
Maritime Wines
At the Mediterranean side of the massif, the maritime Corbières rest on the municipalities of Sigean, Port-la-Nouvelle, Gruissan, Portel-des-Corbières, Treilles, Caves, La Palme, Fitou, Roquefort-des-Corbières, Leucate, Peyriac-de-Mer and Bages. They are the meeting point between the dry zones of the Corbières and the humid areas of the lagoons, which run down the hills to reach the sea, neighboring ponds at some points. These seaside terroirs benefit from summer humidity, thereby compensating the persistent heat.
Fruity and fleshy
Corbières wines are fruity, fleshy, and sometimes offer glorious fragrances. The reds reveal to be rich, generous, and racy. The rosés are always nicely scented and thirst-quenching. The whites, with their delicate hints, are very subtle. These wines beautifully pair with summer meals, grilled meats, seafoods, and fishes.
