The Glattjoch is a saddle in the main ridge of the Wölzer Tauern between the Hohenwart (2363m) and the Hochweberspitze (2375m), which allows the direct transition from the Donnersbachtal in the north into the Schöttltal, which leads south at the town of Oberwölz into the Wölzertal.

This connection from the Wölz Valley to the Enns Valley used to be the main connection, even before the Sölk Pass! Old, well-preserved mule trails still bear witness to this today.

The Glattjoch Chapel is located at an altitude of 1989m and is the highest sacred building in Europe. In addition, the Glattjoch Chapel is the oldest chapel in Styria.

Walkable in summer!
