Description: A summer full of enjoyment: this is taken care of, not only by the village's Hornbahn cable car, which comfortably carries you up to the mountain pastures, but it’s lastly up to you to make your way by shanks' pony to where the air is a little thinner and the view a little clearer. And the children too will feel happy when the mountain pastures and fresh air beckon with new things to discover all along the way.
Directions: From the mountain station of the Gosaukamm lift, a clearly marked hiking path with gentle climbs leads to the Gablonzerhütte and Breiningalm (10 minutes), the Sonnenalm (20 minutes), the Zwieselalmhöhe (30 minutes) and the Zwieselalmhütte (40 minutes). Hike via the Edtalm to the Hornspitz (ca. 1 hour).

Please note: the Hornbahn lift from Russbach only runs on certain days.

Tips: The alpine huts are open from the end of June to September and the dairy farmers serve excellent, homemade cheese specialties
Directions: Coming from the A10 motorway, take the exit Golling direction Abtenau and Russbach. From Bad Ischl you drive via Bad Goisern and Gosau to Russbach.
Public transportation: You can reach Russbach by bus no. 470 from Gosau and Golling. Information about the travel times can be found at www.oebb.at
Parking: You will find enough parking area in the center of Russbach or at the valley station of the Hornbahn Russbach. On this tour we recommend you to park your car in Russbach and take the bus to the valley station Gosaukammbahn.
