Snowshoe- and skiing tour with panorama

The two-hours tour (one direction with a break) starts at the upper Predigstuhl car park at the shelter with an information board near Lesehotel, which can be easily reached by car via the panoramic road. Good winter tires are recommended.
 
A little fitness is an advantage.

Description:
Follow the yellow markings, after just a few steps you will reach the first junction.
 
Keep to the left, from here it turns right into the snow-covered winter forest.
Everything is well signed with yellow  "Hüttenecktour" markings.

Now the path will lead slightly uphill through dense forests until you reach after about 30 minutes the alpine pasture of Rossmoos.
 
When crossing the snow-covered pasture with its snow-covered alpine huts, you can already catch a view of the Dachstein Glacier and the surrounding mountain ranges.
 
Keep right, please past the upper hut - now you will reach the next yellow marking.
In another 15 minutes slightly uphill you are already at the next junction.

On the left hand the marking "Kleine Rosenkogelrunde".
 
Follow to the right and after a clearing you will arrive to a steeper short section that leads you again and again through the snowy winter forest.
 
And then there it is the so-called “Zwerchwand” - please follow the marking below the wall and cross it.
 
Here you will have a breathtaking view over the Goisern Valley, Lake Hallstatt and mountain Dachstein.
 
After another last steep section you will reach in about 15 minutes the snow-covered mountain pasture of Hütteneck.
 
At Alpengasthaus Hütteneck a breathtaking view of the World Heritage region will wait you again.

Please note the winter opening times (only on weekends until around mid-March)

Descent and return is the same as the ascent.

In Bad Goisern take the exit for Lasern at the roundabout and continue along the scenic road in the direction of Predigstuhl until you reach the free parking lot Predigstuhl.
