The Kapuziner church is from 1645.

The Capuchin church was donated together with the monastery by the Imperial Count Georg Ludwig zu Schwarzenberg in 1645, as the monks had been called to Murau in the course of the Counter-Reformation. The simple barrel-vaulted church interior is adjoined by two side chapels and a rectangular choir. To the right of the entrance to the Loreto Chapel is the tomb slab of Anna Neumann, created in 1624 by Philibert Pocabello. The adjoining monastery with a small cloister no longer serves the order, but is mostly used as a museum of local history, since the monastery was dissolved in 1968. In 1974 the church was transferred from the Schwarzenberg property to the parish of Murau as a daughter church. In 1991 the church received a thorough interior renovation, during which the high altar was moved 3.5 meters to the north and a new popular altar was installed. Since 2004 the sounds of a new organ built by the organ builder Walter Vonbank from Triebendorf can be heard, which is also used by the music school as a practice instrument for organ students.
