From Boltenhagen to Grevesmühlen and Back

Start the tour from Boltenhagen in an easterly direction along the Baltic coast over the estate Oberhof and Niendorf. Surrounded by three beautiful lakes, Grevesmühlen awaits you - a city with a long history and rich cultural heritage. In addition to the St. Nikolai Church 'St.Nikolai-Kirche' and the Municipal Museum 'Städtisches Museum', the 100-year-old malt factory 'Malzfabrik' is worth a visit as well.

On your way back to Boltenhagen we recommend a trip to the Stone Age village in Kussow 'Steinzeitdorf Kussow'. Don't miss out on visiting the manor Stellshagen 'gutshaus Stellshagen' and its little shop and bistro in the old fire station in Damshagen 'Altes Feuerwehr haus'. Local products and home-baked cakes invite for a coffee break. In the castle town of Klütz, you should not miss 'Schloss Bothmer' and the 'Literaturhaus'.

 Start your tour in Boltenhagen at the tourist information 'Tourist-Information Boltenhagen' and cycle south towards Wohlenberg. Shortly before Wohlenberg drive on the highway and stay on it until you turn right on the Strandstraße towards Niendorf. Drive from here via Groß Walmstorf to Grevesmühlen. In doing so, you mainly move away from frequently used roads. Having arrived in Grevesmühlen you have the opportunity - apart from visiting the St. Nikolai Church 'St.-Nikolai-Kirche, the municipal museum 'Städtisches Museum' and the malt factory 'Malzfabrik' - to jump into the lake 'Ploggensee' fto cool down. 

After a stay in Grevesmühlen continue via Gostorf to Kussow. Take the Klützer Straße and turn left at the height of the grocery store 'Norma'. Along the lake 'Vielbecker See' and the moor 'Kiebitzmoor' you drive to Gostorf. Here you cycle on Lange Straße towards the village Gutow. Halfway you can make a short detour to the Stone Age village Kussow 'Steinzeitdorf Kussow'. To do so, turn off the Hauptstraße onto Kussower Weg. Then drive from Dorf Gutow on Hauptstraße in the direction of Damshagen. To get to Klütz, take the street Dorfstraße. To visit 'Schloss Bothmer' and its palace grounds, turn left just before Klütz in Hofzumfelde. If you want to take a break in Klütz, you have the opportunity to visit St. Mary's Church 'St.-Marien-Kirche', the House of Literature 'Literaturhaus Uwe-Johnson' or the house for arts and culture 'Alte Moltkerei'. Then take Klützer Straße and get back directly to the seaside resort Boltenhagen.
