As long as the Oberalp Pass is still closed to car traffic, we take the first train to the top of the pass. At the end of April and beginning of May, we can even get to the starting point earlier by car. We set off straight away from the lighthouse and are certainly not the only ones on the lower section. As soon as we reach the small Puozas valley, however, we leave the much-travelled ascent track to the Pazolastock. We now follow the hollow in a westerly direction, where we rarely meet other ski tourers. The terrain is clear, we look for the best route in the hilly terrain and imagine where we will leave our tracks in the still untouched snow. The anticipation grows. When we reach the signpost for the Pazolalücke, we are rewarded with an impressive view of Andermatt. However, we don't stay long, as we want to go to the restaurant at the top of the pass for a snack.
The descent along the ascent track? Short but like choclate!
