Starting at the valley station of the cable railway the path leads up to the so called Kanzelhöhe and from there to the mountain station.
- Directions
-
Starting from the parking area at the valley station of the Kanzelbahn, follow the B94 in a westerly direction, past the petrol station to the Sonnenweg junction. Follow this uphill until you reach the first bend. From here, a small path branches off towards Julienhöhe / Treffen (path no. 2). Follow this path for a few minutes until the trail branches off to Hütter Alm (trail no. 176). Follow the Hüttersteig until the path leads into a forest road at a left turn. The forest road leads now to the hunting lodge Hütter at 1,025 m. Shortly after the hut, the trail branches off again from the forest road ands the trail leads up to approx. 1,400 m. From here, the path tuns roughly towards north-east and you can reach the Kanzelhöhet at altitude of the hotel Almresort without major differences in altitude. From here you follow either the asphalt road or the parallel forest path to the mountain station of the Kanzelbahn. The descent back to the starting point in the valley can be done the easiest by using the Gerlitzen Kanzelbahn. The tickets for the descent are available at the ticket office "Waldtratte" or directly at the Kanzelbahn mountain station.
