- Description
-
After leaving the village in a westerly direction, the wide road leads slightly uphill. At the next signpost, the trail turns left and runs mostly flat along the snow-covered southern slope in the sun, before it becomes steep shortly before the Chauennas farm. Along the way, benches along the way offer rest opportunities and views of the snow-covered Lower Engadine Dolomites and the Inn River on the valley floor. At the Chauennas farm, where you can buy the farm's own honey, cheese, meat and sheepskins, trees and bushes line the path. The trail continues gently downhill to Scuol, where at the PostBus stop near the hospital, the sports bus transports guests (free of charge) back to the village of Scuol or to the railway station.
The hike is steep in places and includes sloping passages. If you want to shorten the hike, take the left fork after the Chauennas farm and take the PostBus towards Scuol on the main road (half-hourly connection).
