- Description

The hike begins at Alp Sardasca. From here it takes 2 hours to reach the Silvretta Hut. The hut is both the starting point for the Glacier Trail and a cosy SAC hut for overnighting as an alternative.
The Glacier Trail begins right by the hut itself and offers visitors some fascinating insights into how glaciers are formed, alpinism, and the flora and fauna in this mountain region. Visitors also get an opportunity to see first-hand the sort of impact that global warming is having.
The glacier circuit with its 15 information boards is part of the 5.5 hour hike and takes a total of 1.5 hours.
The path back to Alp Sardasca is picked up at the hut trail [Hüttenweg] next to the Silvretta Hut. From there it’s an alpine taxi ride back to Klosters Monbiel.
