- Description
-
From Tarasp Fontana the hike leads pleasantly flat through the hamlets of Chaposch, Valatscha and Aschera. The clearing already offers a view of the destination of the hike; on the other side of the valley you can see parts of Ardez and the Steinsberg castle ruins. At the farm you "dive" into the dense forest and turn right immediately after the small bridge. At the end of the steep descent, you begin your adventurous crossing of the suspension bridge "Punt Veidra" over the Inn.
From the bridge the path leads steadily uphill to the Catholic church at the edge of the village of Ardez and to the train station. In Ardez it is advisable to take a walk through the village or a detour to the Steinsberg castle with views over the roofs of Ardez and the surrounding mountains of the Lower Engadine.
