Description
The sunny Walser village Davos Monstein offers some beautiful ski tours. The Büelenhorn is one of the classics among the Davos ski tour mountains.

From the car park at the end of the village of Monstein the access to the Büelenhorn begins. At the beginning along the Alpweg, in the forest, to the Inneralp. From there on to the Mittelalp and over the Mäschenboden to below the summit slope of the Büelenhorn. Now the steep final ascent begins through the summit slope to the saddle between point 2'705 and the Büelenhorn. From there over the ridge to the summit. The impressive panorama makes you forget the steep ascent over the summit slope and you can now look forward to a great descent.

The descent follows the ascent route to Inneralp and from there through the forest back to the car park in Davos Monstein.

Equipment
We recommend the avalanche training centre before the start of a tour.

On the Jakobshorn near the Fuxägufer mountain station in Davos, the correct use of the avalanche transceiver (LVS) can be practised under realistic conditions. The training area consists of a 100 x 100m zone in moderately steep terrain, thus creating a realistic avalanche cone. Use of the training area is free of charge. You must bring your own avalanche transceiver and avalanche probe with you.

Safety instructions
Anyone who goes off-piste acts exclusively on their own responsibility and is outside the liability area of the cable cars. The yellow marked freeride slopes are secured but not groomed and not controlled. They can only be used when they are open. We recommend checking the open slopes, the SLF avalanche bulletin and the weather forecast. All liability is excluded.

This freeride route is to be understood as a general indication of direction. Depending on the conditions, downhill routes must be judged and adjusted by yourself. No responsibility can be taken for the correctness, completeness and topicality of the information provided.

The practice of freeriding in the open terrain is at your own risk. Every freerider and tourer is strongly advised to prepare thoroughly, plan their routes and obtain up-to-date information on the snow and avalanche situation. Avalanche situation report and snow info: www.slf.ch

All liability is declined for accidents resulting from the use of the published information and route details.

In case of doubt, accompaniment by experienced mountain guides is strongly recommended: www.bergfuehrer-davosklosters.ch

After the tour, be sure to stop off at the cosy Veltlinerstübli or Ducan restaurant and sample the locally brewed Monsteiner beer.
