- Description
-
High above the Val Roseg, you hike on one of the most stunning high routes of the Alps. Approx. 20 minutes after the start, the mountain path guides you down to the emerald green Lej da Vadret (in English: glacier lake). You proceed onto the glacial ramp where you discover characteristic geological features with every step and witness the glaciological development. Shortly before the Roseg Glacier restaurant, the path branches off to the right over the bridge and climbs up the opposite slope to the Chamanna da Tschierva. The Chamanna da Tschierva is the starting point of the famous Biancograt to Piz Bernina, the only 4000 metre peak in Graubünden and the Eastern Alps.
