- Description
-
The route links cultural and historical monuments in the villages below the Tower, among which there are five focal points. These are Prešern's birthplace in Vrba, Matija Čopa's birthplace in Žirovnica, where the entire route is also featured in the feature-documentary film Ni ga lepš’the memorial beehive of Anton Janše at Breznice and the birthplaces of writers Fran Salešk Finžgar at Doslovče and Janez Jalns at Rodiny.
The Circular Road is 10 kilometres long, following local, village  and field roads, part of the route also follows a path above the villages. It is marked with new signposts guiding you from one attraction to the next. The signs are placed in both directions so that you can start discovering the Žirovnica Cultural Heritage Trail at any point you wish.
