Description

This family-friendly tour is great for relaxing your legs. Starting in Burgdorf, you’ll coast down Route 24 along the Emme to Kirchberg-Alchenflüh where you’ll switch to Route 44 in the direction of Solothurn. The lush floodplain forests along the Emme lead you to Landshut Castle near Utzenstorf. A short while later you’ll enter the canton of Solothurn, where you’ll come across a new route number (801) and a steel plant near Gerlafingen. But soon you’ll be back in the countryside, where you’ll re-enter the canton of Bern near Heinrichswil. From here you'll take route 34, where the first hills await you again. At Rudswil, you’ll rejoin the 899, which will finally take you back to the Emmental. You’ll eventually be greeted by Burgdorf Castle, which congratulates you on your charming attempt to escape the «Hügu Himu».
