The nature trail passes through the beautiful scenery of the forest and rocks, below the peak,up the steps between the rocks. The trail starts at Tatar meadow with abundance of wild roses and has 13 stops. You can reach the meadow from Počúvadlo Lake, where you can also park.
From the meadow you can continue towards the highest peak of the Štiavnica Hills - to Sitno. At the top of Sitno, you can admire one of the first lookout towers in Europe. The peak and rocks offer a panoramic view of the surrounding forests, meadows and pastures, the nearby Kremnica Hills,Vtáčnik, Tribeč, Inovec, Zobor, but also of Chopok, Vepor, Poľana, Stolica. If the visibility is good, you can see the Low Tatras and the Hungarian Matra Mountains.
When walking along the nature trail, you may be interested in the so-called Rock Town. It consists of 50-metre-high cliffs that were formed by the disintegration of a lava flow when passing through gravity fissures. They have the shape of a bastion, a needle and a tower. The trail continues to the remains of Sitno Castle, which was once defended by the Knights of Sitno, and around Sitno back to Tatar meadow.
