We start our tour at the Huerzeler cycling station Paguera. First, the route leads to Es Capdellà and continues eastwards. A prominent mountain - the Galatzó - dominates this landscape. With its bare, conical flanks, the limestone peak is somewhat reminiscent of a volcano.
Here begins the ascent to Galilea, a pretty, sleepy mountain village nestled in the hills. A short descent into the valley, to Puigpunyent, followed by another, steeper climb, takes us along a narrow, winding road to the top of the Coll des Grau pass.
Now we enjoy an almost 10-kilometre-long, beautiful descent through the magnificent, wild landscape to Esporles. From here we continue south towards Palma de Mallorca.
Just before we reach the outer belts of the city, we turn into the quiet valley to the Coll dels Tords. A last, rather easy climb. The last 20 kilometres take us back to Paguera via Calvià and Es Capdellà.
