- Description
-
We start our tour at the Huerzeler cycling station Playa de Muro South in a northerly direction and cross the tourist resort of Playa de Muro. After a few kilometres, we reach the city walls of the spruced-up old town of Alcúdia.
We continue north along the bay of Pollença, where wind and kite surfers like to cavort in strong winds. Soon we reach Port de Pollença, a typical Mediterranean harbour town with an inviting sea promenade. Now we turn inland towards the west, towards the town of Pollença. Pollença is the eastern gateway to the Tramuntana Mountains, which we do not drive through on this tour.
From Pollença, we first head south, and after a short stretch we reach the turn-off into the beautiful so-called "Maffay Valley", where the famous German musician has set up home. Via the villages of Búger, Sa Pobla and Can Picafort, we make our way back through the hinterland to the starting point of Playa de Muro.
