Tête Pelouse from Combe du Grand Crêt

Easy/intermediate tour in Aravis, starting from les Confins, La Clusaz. Great for initiation in ski tour without any ski lifts.

Start from the parking, directe uphill, no traverse. Very friendly on every conditions : after a snowfall : the north exposure bring cold temperature. Many "safe"options if you don't reach the top. Lots of snow end of season with this north exposure too and good spring snow in april/sometimes may!

Start from Parking des Confins.

Towards Combe du Grand Crêt.

When you are at the bottom, 3 options : directly on the right, on the middle couloir or on the left by the summer trail.

After the first rocky  parts, skin on your right to pass the first dome.

At the flat part after this dome, continue straight to Tête Pelouse

(Other option, skin up on your left to reach le Trou de la Mouche).

Towards Tête Pelouse, skin up the final part. You can skin up to the top of the col on the right of Tête Pelouse.

When you reach that col, you can walk on the ridge to Tête Pelouse.

To ski down, either you start from the col, it's the safest direction.

Or you start from the couloir on the right of Tête Pelouse. If you stay on this right and ski down, watch out, that's the slabs place. Many avalanches in that place in the past. Or you can continue on your left and ski down to the parking. So many option to ski this Valley, enjoy!
