We start our road bike round trip at the Huerzeler cycling station Chiclana in Novo Sancti Petri heading south. After about 5 km we head inland. At the village of Barrio Nuevo we continue south past the village of Conil until we reach the A-48 motorway, which we pass under. Here the varied hilly country begins, followed by a short, moderate climb up to the Patría plateau.
Our next destination is Vejer de la Frontera. The village is a typical Andalusian Pueblo Blanco (white village) and is spectacularly situated on a rocky plateau about 200m above sea level. A short climb takes us up there. We then cross the village and continue south towards the coast.
After a few kilometres we reach the pine forest of La Breña Nature Park. The nature park is especially known for its breathtaking cliffs, which at the highest point drop more than 100m steeply into the Atlantic. This is also the turning point of our tour. This now leads us northwards, parallel to the coast and through a dreamlike area with endless sandy beaches. Via El Plamar de Vejer, Conil and Roche we return to the starting point Novo Sancti Petri, where this wonderful cycling tour ends.
