What we have changed

In spring 2013 we renovated our children's world: a Soft Play set with slide, a small children's play area with climbing and slide, a supervised play area with childcare for children 3 years and older with playing, crafts, painting, cooking, puppet theater, and toy shop, as well as doll play area, a children's cinema, a new teen room with t-wall, table tennis, table soccer, Wii, and chill-out lounge.

At Family Hotel Alpenhof, our little guests are a big deal: In the Alpenhof Kids’ World, your youngsters can run, play, paint, do crafts, and so much more on over 250 square meters of space. And in summer, the picturesque small village transforms itself into Magic Mountain Zauchensee – with lots of adventures for explorers big and small.

The term “family hotel” is far more than just a word for us here at the Alpenhof: it is our pledge to offer small and big, young and old, countless unforgettable moments at our hotel. And that’s one reason why we renovated Alpenhof Kids’ World from top to bottom in 2013. On over 250 sqm, kids of all ages are greeted by fun and games in abundance; Softplay equipment, a doll play corner, a small-child play area to climb and slide, along with a kids’ cinema, a new youth room with T-wall, table tennis, table soccer, Wii play console, along with childcare for youngsters ages 18 months and up. A place to play, craft, paint and cook.

In summer, Zauchensee becomes the Magic Mountain Club Village

Magic Mountain Zauchensee is an imaginative summer club vacation for families with children big and small, for singles, couples, and everyone wanting to have fun on the mountain, in the sunshine, out on the lake, and in the fresh air. The program is diverse and promises all kinds of adventures and magical experiences for young and old.

The following features are included in the price, and are carefully organized and supervised by our well-trained Magic Mountain activity team:
Magic Mountain Center on Lake Zauchensee with basketball, table tennis, badminton, chess, family tennis, softball and much more
In the indoor area: kids & teens room serving as a creativity workshop for crafts, salt-dough sculptures, a kids’ casino and more
"Villa Kunterbunt" with play garden and children’s playroom with nap corners, puppet theater and video area.
Children’s playgrounds (carousels, swings etc.)
Indian village with real teepees, totem pole and campfire
Small-animal zoo
Children’s bikes, children’s sailing boats (ca. ages 6 and up), windsurf training boards (ages 9 and up), pedal and rowing boats, raft, beach-volleyball court, natural climbing wall, double mini ramp, archery range, mountain bikes and BMX, small soccer pitch with synthetic turf.

Some additional services, such as T-shirt painting, trips to public swimming pools, exams to earn children’s surfing and sailing licenses etc., are offered for an additional charge. In parallel to all of these, however, we always offer no-cost alternatives.
