It´s best to have a good breakfast before you start this hinking day at the hiking info point in the village. From the Sporthotel you take the overpass and pass the 27-hole golf course and come to the Wochenbrunnweg. After about an hour and a half you come to your first goal: the Wochenbrunner Alm mountain hut with a large panorama terrace at 1,085 m. The hut is particularly popular for families: in the wildlife park with stags, roe deer and mountain goats, children can get right up close to the normally quite timid mountain animals, whilst parents can enjoy the magnificent views. The tour continues via the Ellmau Stone Circle, a self-enclosed natural force field full of energy by the Wilder Kaiser. You continue cross country through a fir forest until, in aprrox. 30 minutes, you come to the rustic Riedlhütte mountain hut. You return along the forest road to the Haflingertränke an past the Koglbauer llama farm via Biedring back to the village.

Ideally, you should start this day of walking after a good breakfast at the hiking info point in the village. Follow the Wochenbrunnweg, which runs across the 27-hole golf course, past the farmhouses and up through the forest. After around an hour and a half, you will have reached your first goal – the Wochenbrunner Alm mountain hut, which boasts a large panoramic terrace at an elevation of 1,085 m. This day-trip destination is particularly popular with families: the wildlife park features roe deer, stags and mountain goats, enabling children to get a close-up look at the otherwise shy Alpine creatures, while parents can enjoy the wonderful view. The tour continues via the Ellmau Stone Circle, an enclosed place of natural energy in the Wilder Kaiser. Heading up hill, down dale and through a pine forest, you will reach the rustic Riedlhütte mountain hut in around an hour. Make your way back along the forest road to the Haflingertränke hotel and past the Koglerbauer llama farm, heading via Biedring to return to the village.
