Description

The starting point of the Jägerteig is the car park in Naas. Right at the beginning, the ascent is a little steeper. The path is impressive, as it is very steep in parts and also leads over iron stairs. Again and again you have the opportunity to enjoy great views of the Weizklamm gorge and beyond. You continue to climb over hill and dale and are rewarded with every additional metre of altitude. On this route there is also the possibility to make a short detour to the Rablloch height. Then you cross a suspension bridge until you reach your destination on the other side of the Weizklamm gorge.

Directions

We start our round at the free Jägersteig car park in Naas.
From there, the trail climbs steeply up to the Jägersteig directly opposite the car park.
We follow the trail over the Herdplatte until we reach the Rablgrat-Dachl.
Once there, we continue downhill over the suspension bridge.
After the suspension bridge, we follow the path steeply downhill and reach the car park after a few minutes' walk.

Tips for even more hiking fun: Rules of conduct when hiking

A few tips on correct and fair behavior in the forest:

(Source: www.bundesforste.at )

Hikers should avoid visiting the forest approx. 1.5 hours before sunrise and after sunset, as wild animals are particularly active at this time. Plastic bottles, handkerchiefs, cigarette butts etc. have no place in the forest! Please make sure that you do not leave any garbage in the forest. Camping and making fires is strictly forbidden in the forest! In principle, every person in the forest is allowed to collect 2 kg of mushrooms and berries per day for their own use. It is only prohibited if the forest owner expressly forbids it.
Tips

A short detour to the Rablloch Cave rounds off the hike.
