- Description
-
Pupils from Heilbrunn and Granitz elementary school aged between 7 and 11 painted wonderful icons on this circular path as part of a project entitled "Pilgrimages - Pilgrimage Paths in the Parish of Heilbrunn". In 2005, the first trail of this kind was opened with the Children's Icon Pilgrimage Trail.
Heilbrunn with its pilgrimage church can look back on a history of around 380 years. In complete seclusion, in the middle of the forests of the former Wazenegg estate, a well-known place of pilgrimage developed at a spring emerging from the rock.
Heilbrunn is a place of contemplation, reflection and encounter. The pilgrimage church, the fountain of grace and the entire village at approx. 1,030 meters above sea level stand for this.
