The start is directly at Stainz Castle. You walk along the Bründlwald forest to Schönegg and Preißberg. At the end of Preißberg, run downhill to the left at the crossroads. A small forest path leads you to Mitterweg through a housing estate. Follow this path to the wayside chapel on your left. Here you walk to the right, cross the Stainzbach stream and follow the forest path. This path leads you directly to Sauerbrunn, also known as the healing spring. A little refreshment at the Kneipweg will give you energy for the way home. Initially, you return the same way you came. When you reach the chapel again, turn right. You pass the school and then turn left into Sauerbrunnstraße. After 600 metres, turn right onto Bartltoniweg. Keep left on this path and turn right at the end after crossing the stream (Rainbach). You will now come to a field path. This leads via Kaplanweg and Freidorferweg to Neurath. Walk through Neuarth. Here you can see alpacas on your right. Cross Engelweingartenstraße. Follow a field path again, past the Freydl bakery to Stainz. At the end of the road, turn right to cross Kärntner Straße. A pedestrian subway leads you under the roundabout to the Gewerbeparkstraße. Follow this until you reach the Banhofpark Stainz. There you can visit the Flascherlzug. Bahnhofstraße leads you into Langwiesenbachgasse. Follow this first to the left and then to the right to a forest path. After a cooling section in the forest, take Lasselsdorferstraße to the left and immediately turn right again towards Graschuh. You cross a settlement lane and at the end of the road you walk to the left and after crossing the stream to the right in the direction of the sewage treatment plant. You are now on a forest path and walk along the Stainzbach stream. At the end, keep left and walk through the village of Ettendorf. Now take the path towards the Georgigberg Chapel and follow the forest path to the Kalvarienberg Chapel. The continuous path leads you past the shooting range, directly to Stainz. The Schilcherweinstraße takes you directly to the Grazer Straße, which you leave on the Klosterhöhe to return to the starting point, Stainz Castle.
