Heidi has been made with the adventurous climber in mind. It is the most difficult out the 4 Children's Via Ferratas and some of its C/D passages will be waiting for you.
The highlight towards the end of your ascent is the rope bridge which will lead you to the Via Ferrata Kala. From there you will have impressive views of the Sattelberg Plateau.
- Directions

Access: follow the path to Kala. After a couple of minutes, you will reach a marked crossing that will lead you to Heidi's entry point.
Descent: walk along the Nature Theme Trail, pass by the ‘Pension Concordia‘, walk down to the Ramsaubach (brook) and follow the Hofrat-Gruber path back to the car park.

Caution: The ziplines on these Via Ferrata routes can only be used with an experienced guide and a brake cable (“breaker”). Without the breaker, riders will crash into the trees at high speed, which could be fatal.

Arriving from the west:
From the west you can take the Munich-Salzburg motorway, continuing on the Tauern motorway (A 10) until the Ennstal junction. From here take the Ennstal A-road (the B 320) for around 30 km into the Schladming-Dachstein region, then take the Ramsau am Dachstein turn-off. Continue to the Ramsau plateau and about 1 km after Ramsau Kulm turn right to Rössing and continue to the Alte Mühle parking lot.
Arriving from the north and east:
From the south-east take the Pyhrnautobahn motorway (A 9) to the Liezen junction and then the Ennstal A-road (B 320) into the Schladming-Dachstein region. Then take the Ramsau am Dachstein turn-off. Continue to the Ramsau plateau and about 1 km after Ramsau Kulm turn right to Rössing and continue to the Alte Mühle parking lot.
