Summer six-day trek in Small and Silesian Beskids (PL) - Stage 5

The route of today's stage leads along the red tourist trail, which is marked as the Main Beskid Trail (Główny Szlak Beskidzki im. Kazimierza Sosnowskiego). The first interesting place on the route is the Church of Our Lady Maria from Fatima in Steczówka. In 2015, the replica of the church was just finished after the fire of the original church. Of the three saddles on the route (Przełęcz Szarcula, Przełęcz Kubalonka, Łączecko), Kubalonka saddle is the most interesting. There are several huts offering Polish cuisine both inside and on the terraces or front gardens under parasols. You will also find a souvenir shop here. Because of a storm and heavy hail which reached us at the Łączecko saddle, we decided to skip the ascent to Kyčera and Krkavica and used the blue-marked trail along the slope to the ridge creating the border between Poland and the Czech Republic . Even so, we were perfectly drenched. We deserved fully the dry beds, hot shower and a the refreshment at the PTTK cottage on Stoźek. "Fully!"

The proposed trip is part of a stage tour - you will hike on foot to the starting point and continue on foot.
