- Description
-
The tour starts at the fishermen's memorial/sea bridge forecourt in Kellenhusen and leads to the only still functioning watermill in Schleswig-Holstein.
A very varied tour that leads through the Kellenhusen forest, which covers more than 600 hectares, with its thousand-year-old oak trees and through many enchanted villages in Eastern Holstein along the way. Away from busy roads, you can enjoy the natural idyll of the region and discover new views time and again. Once you arrive at the mill, you can take a well-earned break to take a closer look at the watermill before returning to the Baltic seaside resort of Kellenhusen along a slightly different route.
- Directions
-
The tour starts in Kellenhusen and leads from there through the beautiful recreational forest through Gruberhagen to Guttau. On the way to the watermill, you pass through many villages in Ostholstein: Morest, Poggenpohl, Cismarfelde, Kattenberg and Goldberg.
On the way, it is worth taking a break at the Hofcafé "Hof Hagen". Here you can take a break with cake or savoury snacks and recharge your batteries for the onward journey.
On the way back from the watermill, the route takes you through Schlamin, Bentfeld, Suxdorf and then through the Klosterniederung and through Lenste over the dyke back to Kellenhusen.
