Grossarl: Heugathalm

The hike to the Heugathalm starts at the parking lot below the Rosensteinbauer. This hike is particularly popular with families with children. As the path leads along a forest road, the alpine pasture is also easily accessible with a pushchair. Once at the top, you can enjoy the view while your children explore the playground and petting zoo. You will be spoilt with delicious farm produce.

 

Another option:

Start in the centre of Grossarl via the footpath and cycle path towards Heugathalm.

The tour starts at the parking lot below the Rosensteinbauer (parking lot Rosenstein). Follow trail no. 66 past the Scheiblbrandbauer to the Heugathalm, 1,235 m (approx. 1/2 h).

 

Variant directly from Grossarl:

Hike from the centre of Grossarl along Marktstrasse to the leisure centre (parking next to the Viehhauser petrol station). Here you cross the main road, cross the bridge and turn right onto the footpath. Turn right onto the footpath and cycle path. After a while, there is another small bridge on the right with a signpost to the Heugathalm. Continue uphill along the goods and hiking trail to Rosensteinbauer (trail no. 66). From here, continue uphill on the way Rosensteinweg to the Scheibelbrandbauer and then continue on the forest path to the Heugathalm, 1,235 m (approx. 2 h). Please note: This version is not suitable for prams.
