- Description
-
The Marbachalmen are located along the picturesque Marbach in a beautiful mountain pasture area at the end of the Flachauwinkl valley. The steep cliffs of the Radstädter Tauern, at the foot of which lies the Marbachtal, form a magnificent backdrop. The cozy huts invite you to stop.
- Directions
-
In Wagrain-Markt at the junction with the B163, turn towards Flachau and go through the districts of Schwaighof and Moadörfl. At the end of the village, at the level of the Wagrain place-name sign, the cycle path towards Flachau begins.
Go straight over the first roundabout until you come to a second roundabout shortly after. Take the first exit here and drive in the direction of Flachau. Follow the Enns cycle path towards the end of the Flachauwinkl valley, past the Flachauwinkl bathing lake and also past the Flachauwinkl/Zauchensee ski area valley station. Then take the turnoff to the right in the direction of Marbachalmen, where a gravel road with a barrier begins. The Marbachtal is a wonderful alpine valley at the foot of the striking Faulkogel, which offers several places to stop for refreshments.
Take the same route for the way back.
