Endurance mountain bikers enjoy the scenic ascent with views of the Hohe Tauern National Park and the Zell Valley from Kaprun over the Maiskogel to the Alpincenter/Gletschermühle in 2,450 m above sea level. There is a free charging station for e-bikers at the Gletschermühle restaurant.

From the MK Maiskogelbahn cable car, follow the cycle path through the tunnel to the Schaufelbergstraße junction. Turn right and cycle uphill past the Unteraigen snack station towards Stangerbauer. At the last right-hand bend, pass the barrier and follow the well-marked path to the mountain station of the cable car. Continue to the Maiskogel Alm Ranch, from where the path briefly descends to the rustic Ederalm hut at 1,420 m. Then it's back uphill, past the Salzburger Hütte and over the Langwiedboden to the Alpincenter at 2,450 m above sea level.
The way back is via the same route. Descent by cable car possible.
