TG16 Genneralm - tour

The mountain bike tour first runs along the old Postalm road, then through the Ackersbach valley to the Genneralmen.

The tour begins directly at the Voglauerhof inn. After crossing the main road and the bridge over the Lammer, turn left. After 600 m uphill to the right, you pass an abandoned gravel pit.

After 2.3 kilometres you reach an old forester's lodge, turn right here onto the old Postalmstraße. Ride along the Aubach stream through the forest, past the Aualm pasture, towards the Postalm pasture. In good weather, you can also use the numerous pools of the Aubach to cool off. At KM 8.3, just before a bridge, you come to a junction. Turn left here and cycle through the Ackersbachtal valley to the Genneralm. A wild and romantic river is your constant companion. Before you reach the first vantage point of the day, the path gets a little steeper. After the somewhat strenuous ascent, the huts on the Genneralm invite you to take a breather.

The way back is the same as on the way up.

Motorway A 10, exit Golling, on the federal road B 162 in the direction of Abtenau until Voglau, park here on the right-hand side at the Voglauerhof inn .

From Abtenau approx. 5 kilometres to Voglau, park on the left-hand side at Voglauerhof inn.
