- Description
-
With breathtaking views of Lake Constance, vineyards, villages and the lowlands of the Rhine Valley, the tour passes historic castles, fortresses and the Mariaberg Monastery.
This easy hike stimulates the senses especially in spring under the warm rays of the sun and in autumn when the fall colours are on full display. The first stage leads through the municipality of Rorschacherberg with a view of Lake Constance, past four castles, a monastery and several restaurants for a bite to eat, while the second part beckons with sweet-smelling vineyards in the wine paradise of the Rhine Valley. Here, too, magnificent castles and fortresses with barbecue areas let hikers take a breather.
You can shorten the hike at any time either by heading down into the Rhine Valley or by dividing the trail into individual stages.
