For this new hiking loop, we recommend Kreuzen Castle as starting point.
From here hike down Aignerberg, past "Aigner Kreuz" Chapel to the entrance into Wolfsschlucht Gorge. Through the gorge many steps lead up to Herzogsquelle Spring, follow the forest trail straight ahead to the entrance into the Kneipp Trail, which you`ll follow all the way to the forest prayer site. Now it`s up to lofty heights, through the forest to Gruber elevation, follow the agricultural road on the right until you get to the turnoff on the left for "Weiserhöhe". Here a meadow path leads up to "GipfelGlück" the Weiserhöhe, then it`s back down into the valley on the left again and uphill through Pfarrwald Forest back into town. After an extensive lunch break march on through the Kneipp Garden to "Maria Hilf" Chapel, you`ll walk a bit along Anton Bruckner trail to his source. Through the "bathhouses" you`ll get back to Kreuzen Castle again. Scale the castle tower and enjoy the fabulous view into Donautal Valley! - Highest point

My tip: take your time,preferably a whole day. The idea of this hike is to experience Bad Kreuzen for a day! To start off, you`ll hike through Wolfsschlucht Gorge where nature comes upon culture, keep your eyes peeled! Then continue along the Kneipp trail where sports and health await. I highly recommend taking a break at the forest prayer site and enjoy the silence. The next highlight, Weiserhöhe, after the "GipfelGlück", be rewarded with wonderful views of our Kneipp health resort. Here, our welcoming landlords beckon to stop off for lunch. With recharged batteries you can now explore Austria`s largest Kneipp Garden. Take your time and stroll through the garden, breathe in the "sea air" in the brine concentrating house and enjoy a refreshing Kneipp treatment in the water basin! The perfect finish at Kreuzen Castle, scale the castle tower, and enjoy the breathtaking views and wind up the day`s adventures in the castle tavern!
