- Description
-
The trail follows a circular panoramic route from the Seebodenalp car-park to Alp Ruodisegg and then on via Hinterer Boden and Holderen back to the car-park. There is an information board at the starting point in the Seebodenalp car-park. This tells visitors about the trail and where the other information panels are, as well as places to stop for a rest, and barbecue sites. Like the other trails in canton Schwyz, the Glacier Trail is easily accessible. Sensitive habitats are deliberately protected or given a wide berth.
15 clear and concise information panels tell visitors about topics such as land improvement, glaciology, landslips, protected forests, biodiversity, spring water, timber production and traditional alpine farming on the Seeboden alp.
