Use the next beautiful day for this challenging ski tour in the Karawanken.
- Directions
-
From the car park, follow the forest path (path no. 682) flat up to the southeast. At about 1000m above sea level you reach a ditch, through which you pass an old customs hut (1101m), crossing the forest path several times to the Annahütte (Jepzaalm) at about 1600m. Here, one keeps the small and the western flank of the big Mittagskogel in view to the east. From the last hairpin bend, the trail then runs along the steep ridge, partly in the south-facing exposed slopes towards the east to the summit of the Kleine Mittagskogel.
