The pass road from Oberdorf over the Weissenstein becomes a toboggan run in winter. There, rapid descents are guaranteed. From the top station of the Weissenstein cable car, the sledge run, runs to the Nesselboden middle station and, if there is enough snow, on to the Oberdorf valley station. It is considered a classic among the Swiss toboggan runs. The 4.5-kilometre-long route is extremely fast and curvy, so you can expect a good deal of speed on this demanding run, which also scores points for its magnificent views.

By train via Solothurn or Moutier to Oberdorf station/ Weissenstein cable car valley station, by gondola lift to Weissenstein.The Weissenstein can only be reached by gondola in winter. The cable car takes you up Solothurn's local mountain in just 10 minutes. During the ride in the panoramic gondolas you can enjoy the unique view of the Swiss midlands and the Alps. The valley station Oberdorf is very well served by public transport (hourly train connections from Moutier and Solothurn are guaranteed), and there is also a bus line that runs from Solothurn to Oberdorf.
