This hiking route starts in village Dolni Věstonice and goes through Pálava Protected Landscape Area - UNESCO biosphere reserve (Pavlovské vrchy). Hike Pálava hills that offer spectacular panoramic views of water reservoir Nové Mlýny in exchange for minimum effort and time. Visit Dívčí hrady - 13th century gothic castle ruins on the hilltop. From there move on to Děvín - the highest top of Pálava hills (549 m). Forest path will lead you down the hill to Klentnice. There make a coffee/wine break in Cafe Fara. Then way goes up the hill to Sirotčí hrádek - another gothic castle ruins. From there, path will lead you to Mikulov through picturesque vineyards. Visit Turold Geological park and caves where wild bats live. Route goes trough Mikulov Old town centre and finishes at the main train stantion.
South Moravian Region is famous because of it's incredible nature and landscapes, rich history and wine tourism. So, take your camera, get sneakers on and go to explore it! - Highest point
