This cycling route along the best views in Palava invites you for a mid-length trip mostly on low-traffic paved roads. Though it is only about 30 kilometers route, the time you will spend here will be around 5 - 6 hours, depending on how much you want to hike uphills (no access with bike unfortunately, but possible to lock them at the bottom) and enjoy the panorama views. It is recommended to sometimes leave your bike at the bottom and hike up at least a few of the hills on marked trails and explore the remains of the castles and experience beautiful views from above. All points of interest are marked on the route with detailed descriptions and photos. This cycling route starts in Mikulov, forwards through Klentnice, then beautiful downhill village of Pavlov, reaching the lakeshore and Dolní Věstonice. On the way backwards, you will cycle through villages of Horní Věstonice, Perná and Bavory.

The most convenient method to get to Mikulov is, of course, by car. The trip from Brno takes about 40-50 minutes if you use the highway, if you prefer using toll-free roads, it will take about 1 hour of driving. Sometimes the main route 52 gets high traffic (especially on the weekends), therefore, it is recommended to check alternative routes. Some nagivation apps will let you know about it and give you another route to reach Mikulov faster.

- Public transportation

To reach Mikulov, it is possible to take a train from Brno to Breclav, and from Breclav a train to Mikulov. It takes about 1,5 hours to get there by public transport from Brno train station. / To get there from Vienna or Prague, do the same - take a train to Breclav and change to the direction of Mikulov. It is usually allowed to transport a bicycle on trains for a low fee.
