Großarl

Grossarl has about 3.800 inhabitants and is on an altitude of 920 m. The village is the center of the Grossarl Valley and therefore it is the start point for a lot of different hiking tours to the mountain huts. By the way, in the Grossarl Valley there are about 40 mountain huts, therefore it became the nick name "The valley of mountain huts".

In winter Grossarl is known for its skiing area together with Dorfgastein. This is one of the most modern skiing areas in the Ski amadé region.

The highest peak in Grossarl is the Frauenkogel with an altitude of 2.424 m.

Hikers, mountainbiker and nature lovers as well as families will find their paradise in Grossarl Valley. But there are also other sport and leisure activities like swimming, mini-golf, climbing, beachvolleyball, tennis or spa & wellness.
