On the trail from Gadastatt to Zervreila enjoy impressive panoramic views over the opposite side of the valley. Hike through moorland and over alpine pastures. Above you is the Dachberg where skiers and free-riders can find the perfect conditions in the winter. In Frunt (1,990 m), the St. Anna chapel built in 1754 is situated on a rock face. From here you can enjoy views over the Zervreila dam. The 2,821 m high Zervreilahorn ("Grisons' Matterhorn") sits enthroned high above above the lake at the far end.

The path from Gadastatt to Zervreila meanders through the protected marshland past the Kristallloch, small mountain streams, picturesque landscapes, and well-placed benches for relaxing and enjoying the view. It is a leisurely, gently sloping uphill walk to Frunt, followed by a short, steep climb to the Zervreila dam. Cross the dam and follow the route to the Zervreila restaurant car park. It is also possible to walk from Zerfreila to Gadastatt. To have lunch: Restaurant Zervreila and Restaurant Gadastatt.

At the start of the tour you can relax on the sun terrace of the mountain restaurant Gadastatt with a beautiful view and. Once you have arrived in Zerfreila you can recharge at restaurant Zervreila with a refreshing drink and a piece of blueberry pie (specialty). There are several variations for the 7 km long distance down to Vals: by postal bus (in summer) or rent a scooter at Restaurant Zervreila. Other variant: to walk on the old road via Zerfreila Kippi-Chäscherli to Vals village (plus 2 hrs 30 mins walk).
