- Description

The descent follows the marked path to Morteratsch station. Past the waterfall Cascada da Bernina and along the railway tracks, you reach Lagalb. Those who would like to travel this part by train can take the Rhaetian Railway from Morteratsch to Lagalb. The trek leads you through the Val Minor to the lake of the same name (Lej Minor). Before you reach the Fuorcla Minor, follow the new trail markings towards Forcola di Livigno until you get to the bend up at 2'300 m. There you will see the pass road below that leads to Livigno. You will need to descent (there is no marked path) straight down to the road from where a hiking path continues to La Rösa and then via Salva to Lungacqua and then to Rifugio Saoseo in the vicinity of the lake of the same name. You definitely should take the time to visit this perfectly located lake!
