From the starting point at the sports centre (Sportzentrum) the route takes us along Talstrasse to Mattastrasse. From there it branches off into the Mattawald forest, where a gentle ascent to Clavadel awaits us. From Clavadel we continue up on a good trail to the Clavadeler Alp, with wonderful views of the mountains around Davos and the open Landwasser valley. And for lovers of fresh Davos mountain cheese this vantage point is also the perfect spot. Indeed, besides its panoramic views the Clavadeler Alp also offers fresh cheese and other tasty treats. Now rested, we continue on our way with a slight ascent beyond the tree line to Usser Isch. After a pleasant flat section the pace picks up again as we head down to Ischalp, where the trail – at times quite steep – takes us back down to Davos.
