Brief description

Bad luck for the slope skiers, good luck for the tour skiers. No mountain cable car leads to the local mountain, of Zweisimmen, which is also affectionately called "Chumi" by the locals.

Description
The scenic ski and splitboard tour starts behind the airport in Zweisimmen and can be reached on foot from the train station in about 10 minutes. The tour starts in the "Bühlacher" with the ascent towards the east. On the first 200 meters of altitude difference the road has to be crossed a few times before you reach the "Danielsweid" where you cross in southern direction on the ridge above the "Schlattwald". The crossing follows the hiking trail through a dense pine-tree forest. From there you follow the wide ridge up to an altitude of about 1800 meters. This is the last ascent to the Chumigalm over the open summit slope. The summit is steeply sloping on the back and offers a magnificent view of the Gastlosen as well as the Bernese Alps.

The descent leads a little further north over the "Hinder-Chumi" in the direction of "Milch Chäle" over alpine meadows, which are easy to ski on with little snow.

This ski tour is not marked.
