Description

The Männlichen offers not only impressive views, but also fast toboggan runs. One of them is the toboggan run, which starts at the mountain station. The route then descends to over 1000 metres in the direction of Grindelwald to the middle station of Holenstein. On the way, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Grindelwald valley and the mountain range from the Eiger to the Wetterhorn. Depending on your mood, you can take the cable car up to the summit as often as you like and then set off again on the toboggan run. If there is enough snow, you can even go for a hike with the Snooc (snowshoe ski).

Public transportation
Thanks to its central location in Europe, Switzerland is served by international trains from over 12 countries. Within Switzerland, intercity trains run from Basel and Lucerne directly to the Jungfrau Region. Passengers from Zurich change trains in Berne. The trains run every half hour.

Via Grindelwald: First, the Bernese Oberland Railway runs from Interlaken East to Grindelwald in 35 minutes. The first option in Grindelwald is then the local bus from Grindelwald Bahnhof to the Männlichenbahn. The second option is a train journey to Grindelwald Grund including a short walk to the Männlichenbahn. The platform for the train to Grund is just opposite if you arrive in Grindelwald from Interlaken Ost.

Via Wengen: From Interlaken Ost station, you can reach Lauterbrunnen in 20 minutes by the Bernese Oberland Railway, where you change to the Wengernalp Railway. From here you continue to Wengen, the train journey takes just under 15 minutes. The valley station of the Wengen-Männlichen aerial cableway can be reached on foot in 3 minutes from Wengen station. The trip up Männlichen then takes about 6 minutes.
