Gemmipass Biketour

Glorious tour across the Gemmi Pass into canton Valais. Only take this route at off-peak times, as it is also heavily used by hikers. From the village centre follow the road as far as Sunnbüel cable car base station. Alternatively, follow the route along the river Kander past the International Scout Centre. You are recommended to use the cable car for the ascent, otherwise follow the old, well maintained, but extremely steep traiding route up to Sunnbüel. From the mountain station, first make the descent to Spittelmatte. The route passes beautiful Alpine lakes and ascends towards Schwarenbach. From here it is not far to the large Daubensee where the route continues on the same level as the pass. It is not possible to ride on the descent to Leukerbad! You can only make the descent with the cable car. Return on the same route or cycle from Leukerbad in the direction of Brig.
