Exciting nature trip through the Monbach valley

Moss-covered stones, fallen tree-trunks and a vegetation which deserves the branding Swabian primeval forest are characterizing the mystic Monbach valley.

Round tour starts at the railway station in Bad Liebenzell, as desired you could choose the request stop Monbach-Neuhausen as start and ending point.

Highlight of this tour is definitively the stage through the Monbach valley until Monakam. Here you can enjoy the idyllic nature with the water burbling surrounded by overwhelming  greenery.  easily upwards the road meanders along the brook and offers so hiking fun pure. Among other things you will pass little cascades and find many picnic sites (for barbecuing), that makes it an ideal tour for summer hiking.

Reaching the top the way leads you through the district Monakam along the cemetery and back to the starting point at the railway station Bad Liebenzell.

Tour starts at railway station Bad Liebenzell. In northern direction you follow the river Nagold. When you leave the village, soon you pass an ice skating rink and tennis courts. When you reach the Café Monbachtal you leave the Nagold and follow the brook Monbach when you turn to the right. A varied trail, times left and right site from the brook, leads you to the Monbach bridge. The trail goes onwards just for a while until you reach the pumping station in the village Monakam. There you turn to the ride and pass Monakam to the south. A short distance through the settlement before you enter the wood. You walk on the wood (following the symbol yellow hash) downhill. On the way you´ll pass the cemeterey, downwards to the place Bad Liebenzell where you end at your starting point the railway station.
