Location
The Hotel Schützen is located in the “Valley of Waterfalls” – in Lauterbrunnen in the Bernese Oberland. Our friendly three-star hotel with simply spectacular views of the Bernese Alps is just a five-minute walk from Lauterbrunnen railway station. From Grindelwald you can either ski back or take the train. From Mürren it is possible to ski back to the hotel or to take the cable car from Grütschalp or Stechelberg. Restaurant The range of culinary delights in the various areas of the Hotel Schützen restaurant offers an invitation to a journey through Swiss cuisine. Enjoy a friendly cheese or meat fondue, a raclette with local cheese or seasonal specialities – the choice is yours. And of course you’ll find the ideal wine to complement your meal as well as smooth spirits to make a fitting finale. Especially in the winter the restaurant with its open fireplace offers a relaxing and homely, typical Swiss atmosphere. In summer you enjoy superb views from the garden terrace towards the mountains. For breakfast you can select from an extensive buffet with many local specialities. In the evening you can either have the 3-course half board menu or choose delicious Swiss dishes à la carte. Rooms & suites Our rooms reflect both the character of the hotel and our blend of traditional and modern. Classic elements and wood combine with contemporary comforts to make your stay an experience of true Swiss hospitality. All rooms have a bath or shower, WC, cable TV, radio, telephone and safe (except Basic category). Our free W-LAN service is available daily from 07.00 to 22.00 h.
